Profile
Behan joins the Medaille community following a two-year stint with Skidmore College as the program's lead assistant coach and defensive coordinator.

At Skidmore, he assisted with scouting, film, travel and social media while also serving as a supervisor for team managers.

Prior to Skidmore, he returned to his alma mater, Utica College where he served as the team's lead assistant, defensive coordinator and recruiting coordinator from 2015 to 2019. Behan was instrumental in recruiting efforts, bringing in 41 players from seven different states with 15 of them going on to become All-Empire 8 selections.

As a student-athlete, Behan played in 64 games as a Pioneer as a defenseman and long stick midfielder, accumulating 25 groundballs and 20 turnovers to go along with three goals on four shots over his four-year career. In 2013, he was part of a Utica team that set the previous school record for wins in a season along with the program's first appearance in the Empire 8 Conference Tournament.

Prior to his collegiate experience, Behan spent two phenomenal years on the varsity lacrosse team at Jamesville-Dewitt High School that saw the team go undefeated in 2010 and 2011, clinching the New York State Class B Championship both years. In 2011, the team was named the #2 team in the country with Behan being the recipient of the Player's Sportsmanship Award.

Behan described his coaching philosophy with one word, integrity. "If we have group of men that hold themselves and their teammates to a high standard and strive for their best, then we are heading in the right direction."
