Having played rec football during grade school, I switched and found my true sport in lacrosse during my middle school years. It’s been a natural fit. I love the constant motion, practices and team camaraderie. I’ve started at attack and defenseman on my club team in past seasons, but found I was most comfortable in goal. In high school, I’ve played JV for two years in goal and backed up and learned from our D1-committed upperclassman on varsity. These experiences have taught me calm, persistence, patience and insight on the different positions. My footwork, stick skills and clears are sound and my stop percentage is still 67%. Fast hands, communication and coordination of defense are strengths for me. I’m grateful for being able to play for a NJ high school that is strong in athletics and on a team of really great guys. This year, my coaches and teammates honored me as JV Most Valuable Player and a varsity letter. Academically, I’m maintaining a 3.7 GPA this year, and pursuing different interests as I figure out where my true passions lie. Currently, my interests continue to be in biology, business and criminal justice. I have scored a 30 composite score on my ACT test and am now visiting colleges. Aside from school and outside, off-season workouts, this summer I will have duties at home, spend time with my friends and my dog, and work at my part-time job at a health food store.
