Shane began his lacrosse career in kindergarten and has been passionate about lacrosse since. His devotion to academics and lacrosse led him to attending the Groton School in Groton, MA where he is now pursuing his passion for playing in a competitive lacrosse league (Independent School League) along with his strong academic interests in math, sciences and languages (Mandarin Chinese). During his freshman year at Groton, he led his team in goals (31) and was the leading freshman in the ISL in offensive points (38) and goals. He had another successful sophomore year - receiving All-ISL Honorable Mention recognition and was second on the team in points (44) and goals (29). He currently plays club lacrosse for West Coast Starz National 2021 and Annapolis Hawks 2021.
Shane is also heavily involved in extracurricular activities as a Groton Community Engagement (GCE) board member, peer counselor, peer tutor, and writer for the school newspaper. In addition to lacrosse, he also plays varsity basketball.
