Shannon Pettit
Recruit Profile
I am coachable and have a lot of potential. I am very dedicated to learning and improving.
In first grade I started lacrosse. I joined Yellow Jackets Girls lacrosse team in 4th grade and left to join Team 91. Playing for my coach made me start to think about my future playing lacrosse. I started to train at E.A.S.T with Mike Kaplan as well as GLE with my team. These programs not only helped me improve attack specific skills, but speed, agility, and strength. I am in Freshman Student Council, and I'm running for an officer job in the Council. I'm currently taking global history honors and love being challenged academically. In middle school, I made honor roll. I am working very hard to continue to improve academically, and I know that school comes first. I also volunteer at a local nursing home, keeping them company and making them gifts for the holidays. I love giving back to my community and being part of something bigger than myself.
On the field, my biggest strength is my ability to feed from the crease. Over the past few years, I have really improved at reading the field and getting tough feeds into the eight. My teammates know they can count on me to make those tough plays. I'm currently working on improving my shot to goal ratio so I can continue being a threat on the field.
