Shayne Lynch is currently in his first season at Holy Cross as an assistant men's lacrosse coach and defensive coordinator in 2018-19.

Lynch comes to Holy Cross after spending the last four seasons as the Naval Academy Preparatory School (NAPS) head coach and assistant athletic director. In his first two seasons at NAPS, Lynch recorded a 17-8 record. He focused on player development and coached 24 members of the Navy men’s lacrosse team. Lynch also devoted time to retention and recruitment for the NAPS program, strength and conditioning, and academic coordination.

Prior to his time at NAPS, Lynch also served as an assistant coach for Washington College and 3D Lacrosse New England. At Washington College, Lynch was a part of the staff that took the team to the Division III Final Four and an 18-2 record.

Lynch is a 2011 graduate of Wesley College, where he received his bachelor’s degree in sports management. At Wesley, Lynch was a four-year letter winner and served as a team captain in the 2009 and 2010 season. Lynch also earned the Dave Reynolds Award in three-consecutive seasons (2007 – 2009) and the Eric Potts Award in 2010.
