I started playing lacrosse in 5th grade and immediately fell in love with the sport. I started playing with Centercourt Lacrosse Club in the beginning of 7th grade. I have been a starting defender on my club team since I started playing, and started games for my high school, Montclair Kimberley Academy. During my freshman year, I earned a varsity letter for high school due to starting several games and playing in, very close to, every single game. I am very comfortable playing in high intensity, high level games with strong competition. This season, my sophomore season, I started in many games and was rarely subbed out, but due to an ankle injury, I was not able to play in the last 1/2 of my season. Although this injury felt defeating at the time, I used the time off to do a lot of rehab to ensure that when I returned I was as strong as possible. I also used this injury as an opportunity to learn how to face adversity and take whatever comes at me. This is not only a crucial skill in sports, but it also helps me in my day to day life. Through my first 4 games this season, I had 4 ground balls and 2 forced turnovers. On my high school team, I prefer playing low D, but I am also very comfortable playing high D too. I also play field hockey at my high school (JV and Varsity). I am taking honors Spanish III, honors Algebra 2, and honors Chemistry. Next year I also plan on taking 2 science classes (1 of them being an AP class) and adding an honors history class. I have a 3.7 GPA. I volunteer for many clubs and dedicate a lot of my time our my local soup kitchen; this is the most common place I earn community service hours. I and am one of 3 students in my grade that are on the Honor Council at my school. I have a very strong work ethic and always do anything, athletic or academic, to the best of my abilities!
