Recruit Profile
Fast (5:21 mile) two-way, multi-sport athlete, ability to understand and read the field, founder of the Worry-Stones-for-Warriors charity effort, consistently growing as an athlete and human.

I am a multi-sport athlete that has been able to take what I have learned from all of my pursuits and utilize them in my first-love, lacrosse. I have been playing lacrosse since the 4th grade. I made a very difficult decision, as a freshman, and did not play on my high-school team in order to meet some track milestones that had carried over from the winter season. But I continued with the club team, Nor'Easter, which I have been playing with since the 5th grade, and am back playing for my high school. During my time in lacrosse I have represented my home state at the US Lacrosse Nationals, been chosen to the WPLL Futures team, as well has been a selection to the state's all-star team twice. I am comfortable with both hands and have predominantly played midfield and defense. On the lacrosse field I am known as an aggressive, transition defender who is able to match against any midfielder or attacker. My endurance is almost always unrivaled. For the 2021 season I was a starting defender on the CT Class L runner-up team. I earned 6 varsity letters, I was ranked 54th in the nation in the indoor 1600 for the class of 2022, and am a starting midfielder on the field hockey team winning the Coaches Award as a sophomore, selected as all-conference and all-state as a junior. I also have a charity effort that began in 7th grade called Worry Stones for Warriors. The charity distributes worry stones to active duty members of the military, veterans, and first responders to help manage stress. The entire effort is funded through recycled bottles, helping the environment.

As a student I continually tax myself with challenging classes including honors English, Spanish, biology, chemistry, geometry, algebra, pre-calculus, and AP environmental science earning a 3.81 GPA through my sophomore year. My current aspirations for college are to attend a school that helps me help others. I have learned much through my charity and hope to pursue either neuroscience, cognitive science, or environment science.

Sofia is one of the most coachable players I have ever worked with. Her ability to adjust and be versatile across the field is a coaches dream. Her lacrosse IQ is sharp and she is absolutely a play maker.
