Versatile player with excellent field presence and explosiveness.
A proven leader on and off the field, Stella Starosciak is known for her great explosiveness and exceptional vision. She has played 10 seasons with 5 teams since the 7th grade and recently competed at the US Lacrosse Women's National Tournament as part of Georgia Team Blue.
Stella is a versatile player, leading the scoring on her high school team for three straight seasons while also playing solid defense for the Storm last summer. Off the field, she has excelled in the classroom and holds a 90.4 unweighted GPA. Stella is also a dedicated volunteer for charitable causes and community organizations, including Beat Out Cancer and St. Francis Table Food Bank in downtown Atlanta.
Stella's goals are lofty but straightforward. She wants to help lead her team deep into the state playoffs next season, earn first team all-state honors, and play at a high level in college.

I have had the opportunity to coach Stella for 4 years. As an athlete, she has grown tremendously in her knowledge and skill. She is a constant student of the game and works at 100% to get better in all opportunities. She is a fierce competitor who is coachable and shows passion for lacrosse and her teammates. As a person, Stella understands the importance of “team” and makes an effort to be someone all of her teammates look towards for advice or a pick-me-up. She shows true leadership skills on and off the field and is an excellent student in the classroom. Stella’s commitment to lacrosse and improving her mental game are inspiring and I am excited to see her accomplishments on the future.

Stella and I first met during Team Georgia practices when she made the team for the National Tournament in Maryland. From the start, it was evident that Stella is dedicated to not only improving as an individual, but to working cohesively with her brand new teammates. Stella is an athlete that strives for mastery of new skills and is always looking to learn new things. She is a well rounded player with a high shot percentage and is happy to play any position asked of her. She is primarily an attacker, where she poses the biggest threat to her opponents, but is a skilled midfielder as well. Stella has a positive attitude that is infectious and has a lot to bring to the table.

Stella has been a pleasure to coach the past 2 years. Her lacrosse IQ is always improving and she is a student of the game. Always asking questions on how to get better and where to be in certain situations. As a sophomore she was our Offensive Leader on our team which made the Sweet 16. Stella is naturally a true athlete and someone that will certainly compete at the next level! Her commitment to improve each day is something a college coach would love to have on their team. Off the field - Stella is a true friend....there is not a girl on the team that doesn't enjoy spending time with her. It is wonderful to see a gifted athlete be as good of a person off the field as well. She is a very caring, funny, and loyal young lady.
