The Waynesburg University Department of Athletics is pleased to announce the hiring of Steph London as its new head women's lacrosse coach.

While this is her first scholastic coaching job, she is far from a stranger to the Yellow Jacket family.

Coach London certainly knows what it takes to be a winning program thanks to her four years at NCAA Division II national powerhouse West Chester University in Chester County, Pennsylvania. She was a part of four Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) championship squads that also advanced to four national title games during her time with the Golden Rams.

On the field, London tallied 30 goals, six assists and 19 ground balls. She was an even bigger star in the classroom, where she was a three-year member of the Athletic Directors Academic Honor Roll (2003, 05, 06).

London graduated from West Chester in 2007 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Professional Studies with minors in Nutrition and Secondary Education. She continued her education at Harrisburg Area Community College, where she earned an Associate of Arts Degree in Health Care Management. Most recently, she completed a Master of Science Degree in Healthcare Administration from Southern New Hampshire University.

Prior to her collegiate career, London was a four-year (2000-03) standout in both women's lacrosse and women's field hockey at Coatesville (Pa.) High School. Her playing days with the Red Raiders were highlight by her selection as an All-Ches-Mont League women's lacrosse player. She was also a 2001 participant in the World Scholar-Athlete Games at the University of Rhode Island.

Coach London's athletic background includes working with girls lacrosse players at various camps, clinics and tournaments at United Sports in Chester County during her years as a middle school, high school and collegiate player.

As previously mentioned, Coach London is no stranger to Waynesburg University. Her husband of 15 years, Sam London, is heading into his second season as a member of the Yellow Jacket football coaching staff. Sam London serves as the Jackets' assistant head coach, recruiting coordinator and running backs/tight ends coach.
