TJ Bardsley is entering his fifth season as the head coach of Thiel’s men’s lacrosse team in 2021-22.

In Bardsley's first season, the Tomcats had an overall record of 8-7 and conference record of 6-4. Under Bardsley, nine Tomcats were honored by the Ohio River Lacrosse Conference (ORLC). Junior Shawndell Evans II was named All-ORLC First Team. Three Tomcats were named to the All-ORLC Second Team, including Brennen O'Shea, Murphy Wood and Desmond Stuart. Five Tomcats earned honorable mention recognition, including Kyle Reib, JJ Raab, Anthony Sivie, Jack Fontana and Cole O'Connor. In Bardsley's second season, the Tomcats had six players honored by the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC). Andrew Miller was named to the All-PAC First Team. Five Tomcats earned honorable mentions, including Jack Fontana, Desmond Stuart, Mike Damico, Sheldon Bourdeau, and Cole O'Connor.

Under Bardsley's coaching, Jack Fontana set the school record for groundballs in a season with 149 in 2019. The year prior (also under Bardsley), Fontana had 95 groundballs, tied for second for most in a season in program history.

Bardsley arrived at Thiel after serving a 2-year stint as the graduate assistant coach for the Alfred University men’s lacrosse team. Under Bardsley’s assistance, the Saxons went 10-5 in 2016 after finishing the 2015 season with a 13-4 record.

Bardsley earned a bachelor’s degree in marketing from Siena College in 2015, where he was a 4-year member of the Division I lacrosse team. He went on to earn a master’s in business administration from Alfred University in May.
