Profile
In the historical annals of the Molloy College women's lacrosse program, there is only one name that has been listed as the head coach of the program.

Tom Campolettano, affectionately known as "Campi," completed his 13th season as the leader of the Lions women's lacrosse program, holding an overall record of 117-90-1 (.564 winning percentage).

Since starting the program in its inaugural 2006 season, Campolettano has brought the Lions forward in leaps and bounds – including a record-setting 2010 season, where the women finished with a 15-2 overall record and narrowly missed qualifying for the NCAA Tournament for the first time in program history.

Most recently, in 2018, the Lions hosted the program’s first-ever playoff game, earning the fourth-seed in the East Coast Conference Tournament. Molloy defeated fifth-seeded Roberts Wesleyan by a dominant 21-13.

The 2017 season was historic, as the program earned its 100th victory while setting team single-season records in goals per game (16.33), assists (135), assists per game (9), and points per game (25.33). In addition, standout Cooper Sesselman became just the second in the program's history to top 200 career points, scoring her 100th career goal during the season.

Under his guidance, a 30 student-athletes have been named to the All-East Coast Conference ledger, totaling 70 selections. Three have been named to the All-ECC preseason squad, and 12 different players have been recognized as Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coaches’ Association All-Region honorees for a total of 21 times. Finally, seven have been named USA College Lacrosse All-Americans.

As a team, the Lions have been named an IWLCA Academic Squad in nine different years. In 2013, his team was recognized as an IWLCA Merit Team -- being only one of three teams honored. The team was also recognized as the first academic team by the ECC with the highest GPA amongst all women's lacrosse squads in the conference, an award they have now won twice.

Prior to starting up the women’s lacrosse program at Molloy, Campolettano spent seven years as the head coach of the girls’ lacrosse team at Manhasset High School. During his time with the Indians, Campolettano compiled an impressive 110-22-4 overall record, while garnering the Nassau County Coach of the Year Award in 2001. He also earned Newsday Nassau County Coach of the Year laurels in 2003 and 2004. In addition, Campolettano guided his squad to three straight Nassau County and Long Island Small School Championships. In 2003, his Manhasset team won the New York State Small School Championship.
