Ramirez took the reins of the program in 2017 and promptly led her first Lopes‘ team to a national semifinal finish. The decorated veteran player is a graduate of NCAA Division III Alma College with a pair of undergraduate degrees: a Bachelor of Science degree in Integrative Physiology and Health Science, as well as another Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology. In December 2020, Ramirez also earned her Master’s in Organizational Leadership and Entrepreneurship from GCU.

Ramirez came to GCU after spending the 2016 season as an assistant coach for Horizon High School in Scottsdale. While at HHS, she was responsible for coaching offense, conditioning and player development. She also worked at the club level as a U15 coach for the East Valley Girls Lacrosse travel team. In 2013, she coached in the Grand Rapids Fall League where she developed high school athletes. Ramirez served as an assistant to the strength and conditioning staff at Alma College, and has also implemented strength and conditioning programs as a master trainer.

Ramirez earned many accolades and honors as a four-year starter as a center midfielder for Alma during her playing days. In 2014, she led all NCAA Division III scorers with 89 goals in 19 games, and currently holds four Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association all-time conference records, including most goals and points in a game, and most goals and points in a season. Ramirez was selected 1st Team All-MIAA twice along with one 2nd team all-conference selection. She was nominated for Alma Female Athlete of the Year twice and finished her college career ranked sixth in career goals for Division III.
