Trevor Lamoureux
Recruit Profile
Coachable, quick, versatile, two-way midfielder with great field awareness and vision. Natural leader and disciplined multi-sport athlete who takes pride in making the right play to help my team succeed.
After watching my sister, who is three years older than me and plays collegiately at Maryland, start lacrosse, I began my lax career in kindergarten. Immediately, I developed a passion for the game, which only strengthened across youth, school, and club lacrosse. In the Summer 2018, I began playing with the Rocky Point (Long Island, NY) Varsity Lacrosse team. This carried into the Fall 2018, where we competed in a few tournaments. Prior, as a freshman, I was the MVP of the RP JV Lacrosse team, helping lead the team to a 9-6 record. This followed being named MVP of the RP JV Basketball team. (I played varsity basketball in the Winter 2019, where I logged considerable minutes as a point guard, and varsity football in the Fall 2018, where I was a defensive starter, as a sophomore.) I have been a multi-sport athlete since I can remember. I played CYO travel basketball from fourth grade until I entered school sports. I played PAL travel football for the Long Island Sound Sharks from the age of six to 12, along the way winning two Suffolk County championships. I played center - no joke! While I was often outsized by defensive linemen, my performance and the teams success was a testament to my character, mental and physical toughness, fortitude, and smarts. Since then, my work ethic, coachability, leadership, and passion have only grown stronger. Today, I remain a three-sport athlete, playing football, basketball, and lacrosse at RP High School and lacrosse for the Rebels LC. No matter the sport, I consider myself a key contributor to winning games and a true team player. As for lacrosse, I am a quick, versatile, two-way midfielder with great lacrosse IQ. I pride myself on making the right play and doing whatever it takes to help my team win - all over the field. Not to be understated, I am also a hard worker in the classroom, where I am a Principal's List student and take honors math, english, and science. In closing, while, sadly, I did not get the opportunity to be a significant contributor to the RP Varsity Lacrosse team in the Spring 2019 as a sophomore due to unforeseen circumstances, I remain positive about what the future holds and more committed than ever to succeeding over the course of my last two years of high school and at the next level!
