Haefele enjoyed an honor-laden four-year career as for the Golden Flyers. He was a two-time All-American and a four-time first-team Empire 8 Conference all-star after totaling 287 career points on 178 goals and 109 assists. He helped the Golden Flyers to a pair of E8 Conference titles and two appearances in the NCAA Division III Tournament.

A native of Greene, Maine, Haefele graduated in 2016 with a degree in Business Administration. He spent the 2017 season as an assistant coach at Dickinson College in Carlisle, Pa.
