Troy Moyer will enter the 2022-2023 season as the Mavericks' interim head Men's Lacrosse Coach after previously serving as an assistant on the CMU staff.

Prior to his time at Colorado Mesa, Moyer was an assistant coach at Muhlenberg College, where he worked with the team in all facets of play and oversaw the team’s recruiting. He also worked as an assistant strength and conditioning coach.

Moyer has additional coaching experience as head coach for the Black Widow Select 2019 team of Reading, Pa., for two years, where he was able to put together the program’s best summer travel lacrosse record, capturing three of four tournament championships. During the spring of 2016 he also served as an assistant tech coach for the Fairfield (Conn.) Youth Lacrosse Program fifth-grade A team that competed against some of the top youth lacrosse talent in Fairfield County.

Prior to coaching, Moyer was a student-athlete at Sacred Heart University in Fairfield, Conn., where he played Division I lacrosse in the competitive Northeast Conference.

Moyer graduated in 2015 with a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science, focusing on strength and conditioning.

A Boyertown, Pa., native, Moyer played under Dave Lamont at Boyertown High School, where he earned varsity letters all four years and was team captain his senior year. He remains the school’s only boys’ lacrosse player to play Division I lacrosse.
