Profile
Will Pilat returns to the Wesleyan coaching staff in 2019-20 for his fourth year overall and his first as the Associate Head Coach and Offensive Coordinator.

He recently earned his master’s degree from Wesleyan in the Graduate Liberal Studies Program.

While coaching under the 2017 USILA Coach of the year and 2018 Division national championship coach, John Raba, Pilat works with the offense and goalies on a daily basis on the field. Pilat helped the offense reach milestones in 2018, mentoring attackmen Harry Stanton ‘18 becoming Wesleyan’s career goal-scoring leader and Carter Hawthorne ‘19 becoming the all-time assist leader during the 2018 season. Final team statistical rankings for the Wesleyan offense in 2018 include finishing 16th in man-up percentage and 11th in total team assists. Pilat’s efforts with the goaltending unit at Wesleyan include producing two All-Americans in the past two seasons, including the Ensign C. Markland Kelly Award winner in 2017, Ted Bergman '17.

A 2016 graduate of Roanoke College, Pilat was a two-time USILA All-America Honorable Mention attackman during the 2015 and 2016 seasons. He was also named a USILA Scholar All-American after his senior season. Pilat finished his career with over 200 points, finishing as one of the top 10 scorers in program history while playing under his father, Bill Pilat, who has been the head coach for the Maroons for the past 30 seasons.
