William Charvala
Recruit Profile
Leader, coachable, loves the game, hard worker, quick learner
I have been a goalie since I was introduced to lacrosse at age 9. Lacrosse is my escape; it sets my mind free. It is my passion.
After sophomore year, I transferred to Newark Academy and re-classed to 2021. At Newark Academy, I have worked to increase the school spirit at sporting events as I felt it was missing. Being on the field playing lacrosse, hearing fans cheer for you is awesome but I enjoy showing my support for the other teams and our school. In 2019 during my sophomore year, the team had a strong 10-7 and while I anchored the defense with 208 saves. In 2020, I was named captain and look forward to carrying that into the 2021 season.
We are a civic minded family, whether is helping at the local Elks lodge with youth activities, special needs children events or mowing the grass we spend a good amount of time helping others at the lodge. I have been an alter server at my church since 5th grade. After lacrosse in the Summer of 2018, I took a weeklong volunteer trip to Appalachia with Justice Worx to assist a family with cleaning up and improving their property. This year I started campaign "Saves for Suicide Prevention" and raised $3,760.
I have enjoyed working as a salesperson at a lacrosse store where I specialized in stringing stick and helping customers with their purchases.

Theodore Gilbreath
Message me for a full profile. Will is a great shot stopper, calls a terrific defense, is very, very good in the clearing game and has the perfect personality for a goalie. He is positive and energetic and will be a terrific asset to the program where he ultimately lands.
Matt Trapani
Will is a talented player, who is a vocal leader of the defense on the field. He is very hard working and extremely coachable.
