William Reading
Recruit Profile
Extremely coachable and an unselfish player who wins over 70% of his face-offs. Strong and aggressive player on both offense and defense. A multi-sport athlete (Lacrosse/Football) with a strong work
I started playing lacrosse when I was 8 with my Dad who played at Duke. I have played both school and club lacrosse since the 4th grade.
I have won 75% of my face-offs over my first two years playing both JV & Varsity lacrosse for Dallas Jesuit. I am a power house at the face-off X and a strong, down the alley dodger who can finish with both hands. I won 172 out 235 FOs this Varsity season with 122 of those FOs being clean ground ball wins. In addition, I scored 13 goals and had 6 assist in this COVID-19 shortened season.
The past two years I have attended both the Maverick Showtime and NXT showcases. I made it to the semi-final of the Face-off X Challenge at the Fall 2019 NXT tournament and finished in the top 16 out of 68 FOGOs at the National Face-off Academy this past December. I was the top back squat and dead lift for my grade.
I am a multi-sport athlete who plays both Lacrosse and Football. I was captain and MVP of my freshman football team and played JV and Varsity my sophomore year where I was honored with the defensive JV MVP award. I excel both on and off the field.
I currently carry a 3.84 GPA and have been on Honor Roll both my freshman and sophomore year. I am on the year book committee and a school sports photographer. I live the Jesuit motto, "Men for Others", by actively volunteering at retirement centers, after school programs for underprivileged kids and a homeless shelter.
