2017 provided the Titans with their first appearance in the NCAA Division III Men's Lacrosse Championships after the team won a program-best 16 games. Illinois Wesleyan earned six All-CCIW performers which included four first-team honorees and two second-team honorees. Michael Julius was named the offensive player of the year in the conference while J.C. Grabarek shared defensive player of the year honors.

2016 was the Titans best season in Iannuci's tenure to date, finishing with an overall record of 13-5 and 4-1 in the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW). With these improvements, Iannucci saw himself named as "Coach of the Year" in the CCIW. Illinois Wesleyan earned seven All-CCIW performers which included four first-team honorees and three-second teamers. James Maibuecher was named the conferences "Offensive Player of the Year".

2015 saw the Titans finish with an 11-7 record, including a berth in the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW) postseason tournament. Six players from IWU were chosen to the All-CCIW team including Nick Winter being chosen as "Newcomer of the Year".

His first team in 2014 won their first six varsity games and finished with an 8-6 overall record, playing games against many schools that had established lacrosse programs.

Iannucci came to Illinois Wesleyan from being an assistant at Oberlin College (Ohio), where he spent the 2012 season as defensive coordinator for the Yeomen men's lacrosse team. He also assisted with recruiting and scouting.

In 2011 Iannucci was the defensive coordinator at Hendrix College (Ark.), where his efforts helped the Warriors set school records in wins, goals against, shots against and face-off percentage.

A 2010 graduate of Saint Joseph’s University (Pa.) with a degree in finance, Iannucci earned a spot on the Hawks’ varsity roster as a senior walk-on. Playing as a long-stick midfielder, he competed in club lacrosse for Saint Joseph's from 2007 to 2009.

A native of Mount Laurel, N.J., he attended Lenape Regional High School where he was a three-time all-conference player, two-time team captain and was the school’s first four-year lacrosse letterman. He was an all-South Jersey selection and was nominated for high school All-American as a junior.

Iannucci began his coaching career as an assistant at Lenape High School in 2008, helping his former prep team win its first conference title while instructing the state’s sixth-best defense.

Zach and his wife are the parents of a son, Zachary Matthew Iannucci (born 2013).
