Zach Olrich
Recruit Profile
Athletic, fast, and physical two-way midflielder. Captain of Branson Highschool's lacrosse team. I also play club for ADVNC NDP National, ADVNC NDP Norcal, ADVNC SF2023AA, and Outlaws.
I have been playing sports for as long as I can remember. I first picked up a lacrosse stick at 5 years old. I have played for various club teams and have adapted to fitting in and finding my place on the team. I am a quick and shifty midfielder looking to dodge with my eyes up and make the right read. As a two way player I pride myself on my hustle on each half of the field. My high school freshman season died after two games. My sophomore season I took initiative, leading the team in goals and assists. I earned a leadership position as captain for my junior year and led the team in goals and assists. By the end of my junior season I was acknowledged as an all-MCAL player, named to the ADVNC NDP National Team, and was invited to some of the top prospect camps in the country like Maverick Showtime. I am lucky to have world-class coaches/players like Chris Rotelli, BJ Grill, Joe Reid, Tucker Dordevic, Matt Ogelsby, and my high school coach George Morris that all believe in me and can speak to my athleticism, character, and accelerating rise in the sport. I also play for and am a captain of my highschool's football team as well as soccer team. I attend the Branson School, known for its rigorous academics, and last year was taking AP Spanish, AP English, Bio Honors, Honors History, and accelerated Art. I lead my school's Best Buddies club which collaborates with the Helix School which supports kids with autism, lead the Card Drive Initiative at my school which collaborates with Family House in providing cards and gifts to terminally ill patients, and Volunteer through an organization called Service Corps with my mother. My grandfather (Keith Weber) pitched in the Olympics and for NY Mets. My cousin was QB (Kirk Farmer) for the Los Angeles Raiders and KC Chiefs. My mother (Leslie Weber Olrich) played Tennis at Duke and my dad competed as a junior olympian and AAA Beach Volleyball player (Scott Olrich).
