Profile
Zach Wynne was promoted to Assistant Coach and Offensive Coordinator of the Florida Tech men's lacrosse team in July 2021.

He previously served as a volunteer assistant coach during the 2019-20 and 2020-21 seasons.

The men’s lacrosse team’s offensive output has improved each season with Wynne on the staff. The Panthers went from averaging 11.13 goals and 5.13 assists per game during the 2020 season to 12.5 goals and 7.25 assists per game in 2021. In addition to his duties as offensive coordinator the past two seasons, Wynne also oversaw recruiting, player development and coordinating with alumni and parents to organize team events and banquets.

Prior to joining the Florida Tech staff in 2019-20, Wynne spent some time “down under” in 2018 and worked with QuickStix Lacrosse, based in Melbourne, Australia, as a coach and trainer. In this role, he ran training sessions with primary and second school students and worked on the coaching staff for Under-15 and Under-13 travel teams around the Melbourne area. Additionally, Wynne played professionally in Australia for the Williamstown Pro Lacrosse Team in 2018.

Wynne, an alumnus of Florida Tech, quarterbacked the Panther offense during his lone season playing for the program in 2015. He was named to the All-SSC Second Team that year after setting the program’s single-season points record with 54 points on 27 goals and 27 assists and guiding Tech to a 12-4 record and a spot in the Sunshine State Conference championship game.

Wynne is a co-owner of Big Wave Lacrosse, a youth development program on the Space Coast. He also served as a coach for the Landsharks Lacrosse Club in 2015-16 and at Melbourne Central Catholic High School in 2016.

Wynne graduated from Florida Tech in 2016 with a bachelor’s degree in communications.
