My story starts in 7th grade. Before then I had always played a sport but not for very long. I played in order to stay active, not because I truly liked the sport I was in. I would always give up and just move on to a new one; until I tried lacrosse. My best friend at the time was trying lacrosse for the first time and didn't want to be alone so I decided to join her. Immediately I fell in love with the sport. There was something different about lacrosse than all of the previous sports I had tried. I decided to stay on the team and try it out for the season. I'm not going to sugarcoat it, I was easily the worst one on the team. Many games I would go home crying and feeling hopeless because I felt as if I just wasn't learning and growing from my current team. Giving up would have been the easy button, it would have made lacrosse no different than all of the other sports I had attempted, but I decided to keep trying. I worked hard during the summer and found a new team that would elevate me and help transform me into the player I am today. Since then I have worked so hard to be the best I can be because I truly am in love with this sport and giving up is not an option. I have attended many tournaments, showcases, and clinics and continue to grow and learn new things every day. I am not the best and I do make mistakes but I make sure that I learn and grow from those mistakes. Working hard has allowed me to make the varsity team as a freshman at Pioneer high school. I want to play Lacrosse in college as well as study hard in order to attend law school and become a lawyer. In my free time I attend Be Love Revolution meetings that help me grow in my faith and be a better person under God. I like to volunteer and help those who need it. I am currently setting up a clothing and furniture drive to help a family of almost 10 in Detroit. My goal in life is to be the best person I can be and to always work hard in order to achieve my dreams.
