Sophie Patton
Recruit Profile
I'm a very coachable, competitive, team-player who is mentally tough and agile. I'm also a hard-worker, resilient, dependable and driven to succeed!
I started playing LAX in 6th grade. I have always loved playing sports including football, soccer, swimming, track, and basketball. I've always been competitive and my quick feet, agility and speed have allowed me to be a dominant 1 on 1 defender. I am comfortable attacking with both hands and navigating in tight traffic. My freshmen year I started every high school game at midfield, won the "unsung hero" award, I made the North Texas National Team, I played on the WPLL team and played on the midwest region's Under Armor All American team as a defender. I played club 50/50% mid/defense. My sophomore year in high school, I started every game at midfield, club team 50/50 mid/defense. I made the North Texas National Team and WPLL. I finished my sophomore year with groin injury that kept me out of UAA.
I started a non profit in 4th grade called Angels4Angels. A4A receives donated stuffed animals to give to children in foster care, domestic violence shelters and adoption agencies. Our community has been very generous over the last 7 years allowing us to give hundreds of children gifts in a time of need.
My academic work consists of a blend of AP, Pre-AP and on level courses.
I love serving with my family on mission trips in Africa and the Dominican Republic. For fun, I love to hang out with my friends at the lake, wake boarding and just being goofy.
