Sports Recruits LLC, (collectively, “we”, “us”, or “ConnectSports”) provides the websites known as ConnectLAX, ConnectSoccer, ConnectFieldHockey, ConnectVolleyball, ConnectSoftball, ConnectBaseball, ConnectIceHockey, ConnectWaterPolo, ConnectSwimming, ConnectBasketball, ConnectFootball, ConnectTennis, ConnectGymnastics, ConnectRowing, ConnectTrackAndField, ConnectGolf, ConnectWrestling, ConnectBeachVolleyball, ConnectSquash, ConnectFencing and ConnectSkiing, as well as all services related to these websites (the “Website”), including but not limited to an integrated lacrosse recruiting platform (“Network”), a filming and editing service ("Video") and the organizing individual and/or small group instruction sessions (“Sessions”).

ConnectSports takes your privacy seriously and we know the use and care of your personal information is important to you. We have created this privacy policy to demonstrate our firm commitment to your privacy and the protection of your information. By accessing, browsing or otherwise using the Website, you confirm that you have read, understood and accept the practices of this privacy policy.

A Member shall be defined as a person or entity that has registered on the Website seeking services offered by ConnectSports, or seeking to use the services of ConnectSports as a player, parent, instructor, coordinator or coach, or otherwise create a public profile on the Website.

Your personal information is collected in order to enhance your user experience and meet any commitments to you. This may include but is not limited to registering as a Member of ConnectSports, connecting with other members of our recruiting Network, purchasing Video services, completing or confirming a booking on the Sessions service, exchanging information pertinent to the booking, sending you communications related to website activity, responding to customer service requests, improving our Website, products and services, internal record keeping and sending periodic promotional or marketing communications. ConnectSports exchanges a minimum amount of information between Members in order to facilitate the arrangement of instruction sessions.

No debit or credit card information is stored on ConnectSports systems or servers.  Card information remains the private property of the cardholder at all times.

You may choose not to provide personal information to ConnectSports. In this case, ConnectSports reserves the right to immediately dismiss you from the Website and close your account.

 

Information that is Gathered from Visitors

 

In common with other websites, log files are stored on the web server saving details such as the visitor's IP address, browser type, referring page and time of visit. Cookies may be used to remember visitor preferences when interacting with the Website. Web beacons, a small snippet of code that allows the transfer of information collected through a graphic image request, may be contained in our web pages and HTML emails. Similar to cookies, web beacons are generally used to compile statistics, possibly by a third party, to analyze how a website is used and optimize the user experience on the Website. Where registration is required, select user information including but not limited to the visitor's email and a username will be stored on the server. Users also have the option to provide information about themselves to complete a public profile.

 

How the Information is Used

 

The information is used to enhance the user’s experience and get the most out of the Website. This may include displaying personalized content, customer service, and possibly advertising. We only request Website users to submit the minimum amount of information necessary to use our Website. 

Information submitted by users to complete their public profiles is displayed publicly and are accessible to everyone. Users should not sharing any information with us they do not wish to be shared publicly.

We will never sell or rent your personal information to anyone without your advance permission or unless ordered by a court of law. We will only share your personal information with third parties in the ways described in this privacy policy and as may be further described at the time that you provide the requested information. An e-mail may be sent to inform you of news of our services or offers by us or our affiliates.

Videos submitted by users, including highlight videos built on our platform by users, may be submitted to YouTube via the YouTube API. The video, and information sent along with it (eg. Title, Description) is subject to Google's privacy policy. If members choose to use the optional Gmail API integration to allow us to send email on your behalf to college coaches and keep our sites up-to-date with email messages you receive, messages and those interactions are also subject to Google's privacy policy.

We provide payment information to a fully secured and reputable third party payment processer. No debit or credit card information is stored on ConnectSports systems or servers.  Card information remains the private property of the cardholder at all times.

By registering as an instructor on ConnectSports, you authorize ConnectSports to verify the information you provide and share your personal information in connection with such verification, which may include, without limitation, conducting criminal background and motor vehicle records checks, sex offender registry screens, identification verifications and/or use of available public records (collectively, “Background Checks”). You consent to any collection, use or disclosure in order to accomplish such verification. Without limiting any other provision of this Privacy Policy, Terms of Use, which can be found on the terms page, or Instructor Agreement and Guidelines, we may share (and you expressly authorize us to share), the results of the Background Checks with any other Website user or Member who has requested this information as a result of their use of our Website or specifically by engaging to receive instruction services from you. Background Checks are from third party agencies; ConnectSports is not responsible and expressly disclaims all responsibility and liability relating to or arising out of any Background Check, including but not limited to the receipt, misuse or disclosure of its results, and the services of any third party agencies. You reserve the right to not grant or rescind permission for Background Checks, which may result in immediate removal from the Website.

We may disclose your information to any relevant regulatory body when there is a legal obligation to do so or when we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights or the safety of you and others. If ConnectSports is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of all or a portion of its assets, you will be notified via email and/or a prominent notice on our website of any change in ownership or uses of your personal information, as well as any choices you may have regarding your personal information. We may disclose your personal information to any other third party without your prior consent to do so.
 

Information Sharing with Third Parties


Parts of our service involve sharing data with third parties. This includes, but is not limited to, when members send messages, share profiles, or create and share videos. Additionally, college coaches may choose to copy your profile information into third party services that they use (for example, to keep track of a list of recruits they are interested in). User information may also be shared with third party social networks for player profile promotion, or customer support systems to provide a better user experience.

If you choose to submit your highlight videos to YouTube, or use the optional Gmail integration, those interactions, uses, and data are also subject to Google's privacy policy.

 

Use of Message Tracker, our Gmail Extension

 

If you choose to integrate your Gmail or any other G Suite application with our Website by installing our ‘Gmail extension’, you may use the extension and allow ConnectSports access to your Google user data.

- What information does ConnectSports collect?

By using the ‘Gmail extension’ with your Website profile, you will grant the ConnectSports access to information associated with your account, including contacts, emails, calendar, subject lines, and URLs of tracked links from your email, if you use the email tracking functionality within the Message Tracker. The extension can read and change your data on our Website and within Gmail on your Chrome browser where the extension is installed.

ConnectSports will scan the content of your emails to identify which emails you have elected to track in order to provide you with the notifications feature. In doing so, the ‘Gmail extension’ logs all emails from Gmail.

ConnectSports will store replies, outgoing mail, email headers, subject line, aliases, time sent, and Email bodies. Your email may contain sensitive information, such as names of your contacts, your private communications, or financial or medical information. You understand that the correspondences you track will be visible to other coaches if you join the Website through a team or have an active team association on your Website profile.

- How do we use your data?

When creating an account, you agree to our Terms of Use which allows us to process your data to give you access to ConnectSports. This way, you can have an account on our Website, organize your profile and message members with your information, etc.

Notwithstanding anything else in the ConnectSports privacy policy, if you provide us with access to your Gmail data using the ‘Gmail extension’, our use of that data will be subject to these additional restrictions:
- We will only use access to read, write, modify or control Gmail message bodies (including attachments), metadata, headers, and settings to provide Website members the ability to track email opens and link clicks, keep your Website profiles' activity feed and messages tab organized, and send emails from your Gmail to enhance the email experience for productivity purposes.
- We will not transfer this Gmail data to others unless doing so is necessary to provide and improve these features, comply with applicable law, or as part of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
- ConnectSports will not use this Gmail data for serving advertisements.
- ConnectSports will not allow humans to read this data unless we have your affirmative agreement for specific messages, doing so is necessary for security purposes such as investigating abuse, to comply with applicable law.

- What personal information can I access?

Because the personal information you share with us via the Google OAuth authentication process originates in your Gmail account, if you want to modify that personal information you may do so through your Gmail account. Alternatively, you can email support@connectsports.co for access to, or to update or delete, your personal information that ConnectSports has collected.

Visitor Options

 

If you have subscribed to our Website, you may unsubscribe by following the instructions, which are included in e-mail that you receive.  You may be able to block cookies via your browser settings but this may prevent you from accessing certain features of the Website. Cookies are small digital signature files that are stored by your web browser that allow your preferences to be recorded when visiting the Website. Also they may be used to track your return visits to the Website.

 

Why Did You Receive an Email from Us?

 

If you received a mailing from us, (a) your email address is either listed with us as someone who has expressly shared this address for the purpose of receiving information in the future (“opt-in”), or (b) you have registered as a Member or otherwise have an existing relationship with us or one of our partners. We respect your time and attention by controlling the frequency of our mailings.

How Secure is Your Personal Information?

 

ConnectSports strives to protect the security of your information during transmission by using Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) software, which encrypts information you input online. If you have accessed a secure server, the first characters of the address in that line should change from "http" to "https." ConnectSports processes all debit and credit card transactions through a fully secured and highly reputable third party payment processor and does not store debit or credit card information on our systems or servers. We encourage you to take precautions by protecting against unauthorized access to your password and computer as well as being sure to sign off when finished using a shared computer.

As discussed above, you can always choose not to provide information, even though it might be required to take advantage of the Website. Please contact us at support@connectsports.co if you want us to remove your personal data from our database and refer to our Terms of Use for account termination procedures.

Public Forums

 

Our Website and applications may offer message boards, conversation pages, blogs, chat rooms, social community environments, profile pages, and other forums that do not have a restricted audience. If you provide personal information when you use any of these features, that personal information may be publicly posted, read, collected and used by others who access them. Do not post personal information in public areas that you want to keep private. An application refers to a program or service operated by us (or on our behalf) that may be displayed on various, mobile or other platforms and environments.

 

Inviting Friends and Referrals

 

When you search for, refer or invite friends on ConnectSports, you will be asked to provide your friends' names and email addresses. By clicking to find, add, invite or email friends or any such other button and/or link text that may signal your intent, you give ConnectSports permission to import selected contact information, including but not limited to, your friends names and email addresses and store their names and email addresses indefinitely. We will use this information to send people you select a message on your behalf using your name, photo and/or email address. We may also send a limited number of reminders to them in your name. We will make no other use of this information for any other marketing purpose without notification.

 

Minors

 

Children under the age of thirteen (13) are not permitted to register as a Member of ConnectSports, make use of or submit any information to the Website. ConnectSports will not knowingly collect any information from children under the age of thirteen (13) and requires Website users to identify their age when registering as a Member. If you are under the age of thirteen (13), please do not provide your contact information or other personal information to ConnectSports.

 

If you are the parent or legal guardian of someone under the age of thirteen (13) who may have provided us with information without your knowledge or consent, please contact us at support@connectsports.co to have this information removed.

Under California Civil Code Sections 1798.83-1798.84, California residents are entitled to contact us to prevent disclosure of Personal Information to third parties for such third parties’ direct marketing purposes; in order to submit such a request, please contact us at support@connectsports.co.
