Kate Stanton
Recruit Profile
Work horse on and off of the field, advanced stick skills, coachable, unselfish, very strong lax IQ - aggressive, clear field vision, and a multi-sport athlete.
I started playing lacrosse when I was 7 for rec league. When I was 10, I joined Ultimate Lacrosse and it was the first time I competed at the elite, national level. I was exposed to many talented players throughout the nation who inspired me to put in extra work everyday. When I was 13, I began to appear on STX Womens Lacrosse Instagram doing advanced stick tricks. Instantly, I fell in love with the atmosphere that lacrosse had provided me. That summer, when I was 13, I played for the PA team during the National Lacrosse Classic and I was rewarded the team MVP free stick. One month later, I was named to the All-Tournament Team at the US Lacrosse Nationals Tournament.
My hard work has shown on the field as I represent my team for 1v1 brave hearts, winning several. I am very comfortable dodging and finishing with both hands. I also pride myself in my sturdy 1v1 defense, and my quick hands and feet on the draw circle. My passion for lacrosse has not faded over the years, in fact, it only grew stronger. Being the second leading scorer on varsity as a freshman, I was rewarded with being named to the All Central-League Honorable Mention Team and the All Delco Honorable Mention Team.
Outside of lacrosse, I continue to possess the drive to be the best at anything I do. I play varsity soccer and I was a freshman starter. Throughout the season, I was placed at almost every position possible, starting almost every game. Once our goalie got hurt, I happily took the position under my belt for 5 games. I claimed either a win or tie for them all, showing my aggressiveness and versatility.
In the classroom as a sixth grader, I was chosen to take triple advanced math, and I have excelled for years. In high school, I began 9th grade being one of 23 student of my class taking Pre Calc. Now, as a sophomore, I participate in AP Statistics and Level 1 English, Spanish III, biology, and western civ. Recommended by a teacher, as a sophomore I am a student council representative. I currently contain an unweighted 3.92/4.33 GPA and a weighted 6.66/7.38GPA.

Kate is that player that everyone loves to watch. She is tough, feisty, gritty and plays with a ton of heart and hustle. She is smooth and consistent through transition, a weapon on the offense and dialed in on defense. She has great vision so she is able to cause chaos on the defensive and on attack she is a major threat every time she touches the ball. She is a great scorer and knows and does it with ease. She's a great teammate and super coachable.

Kate is the definition of committed. She puts in extra time before and after practice, on the weekends, and after school. Her hard work shows in every play on attack and on the draw. Kate is our leading scorer; scoring easily & creatively with both hands. Her lax IQ and field awareness is top notch. She has aggressive 1v1 defense and quick slides. But most of all, Kate is extremely coachable, dedicated, and hardworking. She’s a 2 sport varsity starter (as a freshman), involved in her HS, and has high academics.
