I have been playing lacrosse since first grade. My dad Pete who played long pole defense for Maryland in the late 1980's was very involved in developing the girls youth program for my town, and our teams did really well. I have played different positions over time, including midfield and faceoff specialist, but defense is in my genes and that is where I have been the strongest and where I can contribute the most on the field. Instead of attending my local high school I have had the opportunity to attend St Anthony's High School in Huntington, and am very fortunate to be able to take advantage of both the excellent academic programs.

While at St. Anthony's I have been a starter and key player on the JV team, and last season was elected captain. Given that SA has one of the most competitive lax programs in the state - our JV team could rival most varsity level teams, and I have had an amazing experience playing almost every minute of our most competitive games. I have played multiple sports over time, including 4 years of travel field hockey which led to my being selected for the varsity team while in 8th grade. I have also played basketball since 1st grade including CYO travel and AAU, and have played 2 years on St Anthony's JV team.

Academically I have maintained a 4.0 unweighted average every semester of high school, while focusing on honors and AP courses. I completed AP bio in 9th grade, and am currently enrolled in AP American History, AP Environmental Science, and Honors Pre-Calc which offers 4 college credits; in addition to Honors Spanish, Honors Physics and Honors English. In college I plan to focus on a major in the sciences, possibly pursuing a pre-veterinary track. I have been a recipient of the St. Bonaventure Academic Achievement award at SA for the past two years, and scored a 28 on my first attempt on the ACT - which I am retaking this year on Dec 9.
