Ever since I was in third grade, I played short stick midfielder, playing both offense and defense and was an attackman for two years. I also took faceoffs for a few years while I was a short stick.
As a freshman, I started as a defensive midfielder on our varsity lacrosse team and played on our man down squad. In the middle of the season, I was moved to close defenseman because of our starting line having too much eye black on in a game and being taken out and I was one of the substitutes. My coach was impressed by my performance at close defenseman and kept me there until the end of the season while also keeping my spot on the man down squad.
As a sophomore, I started the season as a close defenseman but moved to long-stick midfielder because of my stick skills, speed, and lacrosse IQ. My coach also kept me at LSM because I was such a threat in transition and ended up with my first career goal at LSM. I also played on our man down squad and played all around the goal on defense (crease, left side, right side, etc).
Academically, I am interested in pursuing the engineering career path. Math and science have been my strongsuits throughout my life and I also previously took honors classes in both subjects. Next year, I may be taking a regular level physics course and an honors level math course instead. I also took art/elective classes that taught me how to code and how to utilize various machines in our innovation center at Western Reserve Academy. In the following years, I plan on taking a 3D printing course, Adobe course, and an artificial intelligence course that will allow me to acquire a certification through a test at the end of each of those courses.
Outside of school, I value spending time with family and friends. I also like spending time taking part in my various hobbies. I also enjoy volunteering at St. Philomena Whittman/Ozanam Center, which is a clothing/food bank in Cleveland. In the past, I used to be a member of the Cuyahoga Coyotes 4H program.
