Sarah Nelson
Recruit Profile
200% effort 100% of the time; team player who leads by example, flexibility, never give up attitude, and playing smart but hard
I started playing lacrosse in 2nd grade because all my friends were, but quickly discovered my love for the sport. Not only did lacrosse reinforce my previous friendships, but it opened doors for new ones as well. Also, team sports instill the teamwork and hard work mentalities necessary for success in both school and life in general. Lacrosse has helped to shape me into the disciplined and balanced person I am today.
I have been a Varsity HS player since 8th grade and have seen time on the field each year. The outstanding coaching and student-athletes of The Agnes Irwin School HS and Radnor High School Lacrosse Teams have helped me to significantly improve as a lacrosse teammate. I have been recognized as a Maverick All-American for the National Tournament and have been named to the All-Star Teams at: UNC Winter Camp, Warrior National Prospect Invite, the Undisputed Showcase, and Stanford Winter Camp. As a freshman, I also was a Varsity starter on the soccer team at Agnes Irwin. The majority of the soccer players were also members of the lacrosse team, so it provided team-bonding prior to the lacrosse season.
As a rising junior in the coming school year, I will be taking AP Lang, AP US History, AP Psychology, Honors PreCalc, Honors Spanish 4, and Advanced Physics. Evidently, I enjoy a challenge in the classroom and on the field.
