Long Island Wave

Description
The Long Island Wave program promotes an atmosphere where its players, coaches, parents, and fans honor the wonderful and exciting game of women’s lacrosse. Once on a Wave team all players remain on that team for as long as they want to. They do not have to try out again. Plus the Wave charges the lowest fee of any Long Island Club. Wave players are encouraged to have fun playing the sport they love so much. They are further encouraged to play properly in a team orientated manner within a highly competitive setting which allows them to improve their skills, develop life long memories, and increase their exposure to the game . Wave teams are coached by the same female post collegiate players, most of whom go on to coach the sport in high school, for the life of that team. These coaches are talented and motivated young women who pass on their love of the sport while helping develop their player’s skills and encouraging them to reach their full potential in preparation for the next level of their lacrosse future. The Wave desires, and hopes, to do its part in building the character of its players both on the field, through team work, skills development, fair play, and sportsmanship, while encouraging those players to develop their lacrosse friendships off the field.
