Midwest Classic Box Tournament
Event Profile
The tournament will take place at Resolute Lacrosse’s impressive 3 pad facility in Columbus, OH – the Resolute Athletic Complex.
Founded by former NLL player and Team USA member Anthony Kelly and Major League Lacrosse (MLL) All-Star Greg Bice, Resolute Lacrosse joined USBOXLA last year, incorporating real box lacrosse into their athletes’ everyday training, Bice recently saying, “I cannot wait to watch our players grow and develop through the USBOXLA methodology and watch our kids play against the best programs in North America.” Teams will be awarded gold, silver and bronze medals at the conclusion of this Elite level tournament at each age group. “We’re extremely excited about Resolute putting on this event,” said Santos. “Their facilities are absolutely amazing and a perfect destination for a winter showcase like this.” “Anthony & Greg’s commitment to box lacrosse in Central Ohio has been ground breaking and difference making. They’ve been a tremendous addition to USBOXLA and I’m really looking forward to bringing the Cali*Lax ALL-STARS to Columbus in February.” The Midwest Classic joins other annual USBOXLA tournaments like the King of the Northwest (hosted by the NLL’s Vancouver Stealth), Bay Area Super Series (Alameda, California), Battle in the Box (Denver, Colorado) and the country’s premier end-of-season youth box lacrosse event, the USBOXLA Nationals (Los Angeles, California).
