I started playing lacrosse in first grade. My mom was my coach, and I think that first initiated my love for the game. I have been playing every year since, and started club lacrosse for DEWLAX in fifth grade. This HS season I was the starting center for the Varsity team. This allowed me to play both sides of the ball and really develop my offensive skills, which was an exciting change from my usual defensive position. I also swing Varsity for Field Hockey and Basketball. I love playing multiple sports for multiple reasons, one of them being that they definitely help me in lacrosse. Basketball has really improved my defensive footwork and ability to read plays, and Field Hockey has taught me how to see the field better and think multiple steps ahead while playing.

I love playing for DEWLAX and have so much fun with my teammates. We are a very competitive team, competing in the top brackets in all of our tournaments against the top teams. We are ranked 14th nationally by the most reason Club Lacrosse ranking.

I am taking all honors core classes, including Honors Precalculus, and I am in Russian 3 as a foreign language. I skipped PreAlgebra and instead went straight to Algebra 1 in 7th grade. I have continued on this accelerated track and am currently doing well in PreCalc. Next year I will be taking AP Calc, APUSH, AP Lang, AP Psych, Honors Chem, Honors Russian 4, and other electives.
I am a member of the Key Club, Special Olympics club, and DECA. I volunteer often both in those clubs and outside of them. Outside of school I love skiing and sledding in the winter months, or hanging with friends and family on my boat in the summer.

Overall, I love the effect lacrosse has had on my life and I hope to continue to do what I love in college.
