Lacrosse has been apart of my life since I was in fourth grade. I have been playing for about 8 years now. I play lacrosse because being apart of a team is a unique experience that is so crucially valuable. I began playing on my high school varsity team as an 8th grader. This extra year gave me a lot of leverage for creating lasting athletic bonds as well as friendships with my teammates and coaches. During my 8th grade year on varsity I made second team all DISC and the following year during my freshman year I made first team all DISC. In my past season as a junior I had 56 goals and 54 assists as well as controlling the draw for my high school team. I also was honored to lead the team as one of three captains this year. During this past season I also had my 100th career goal as a varsity player at Wilmington Friends and made first team all DISC as well as 2nd team all state. Aside from lacrosse I am also enrolled in the full IB program at my school. I take Higher level Spanish, English and Art and the IB standard level Math, Biology and 20th Century History. Being involved in my small school community is something I believe is very important. I am involved in various clubs at my school like best buddies, link crew which orients freshman and new students to the community as well as female athlete advocacy which I will be clerking in the 2021-22 school year. I love being apart of a team. Athletics have been a huge part of my life and it is something I truly cherish.
Being involved within my school community as well as pushing myself academically are two other things that I hold very important in my life.
