I started playing lacrosse the beginning of my 8th grade year and was extremely excited to make the HS varsity team as an 8th grader. During this time I also gained my nickname that has been going strong ever since, "Rags" (from my last name Ragano). Sadly, our season got cut short due to COVID, but I took that time to learn more about the sport and come out as a freshman prepared for not only my first year of high school, but ready to be the varsity starting goalie. I knew what was expected of me and had a solid first starting season with 85 saves (in 14 games). I was selected as Second Team All District Goalie for my efforts as a freshman. In 2021 I started a new club team and started to get really serious about lacrosse. I felt really prepared for my sophomore season where I would be starting again. To finish off my sophomore season, I had 158 saves in 18 games and my team went farther than we ever had before, making school history. I was also selected as First Team All District.

I am also very serious in my academics. As a junior, I am taking all honors and three APs. I am the secretary of two clubs at my school as well as being an Ambassador. As an ambassador, we conduct tours and represent our school at events. I have a lot of love and pride for my school and have been there since Pre-K. My sisters also went to Academy and absolutely loved it.

As for hobbies, I've always loved music and playing the piano. I've been playing the piano for as long as I can remember and love to play anything from the classics to Taylor Swift to Adele. Also in 8th grade and freshman year I dove for my high school varsity swim team and really enjoyed it. I was a competitive dancer for 10 years before starting lacrosse and diving allowed me to use some of those skills. Diving definitely prepared me for the mental toughness you need to have to be a goalie and also let me meet some amazing friends and coaches.
