Recruit Profile
Good listener, team player, aggressive, hard working, multi-sport athlete with a strong lacrosse IQ and great understanding of the game.

I have been playing lacrosse since I was about 7, and as soon as I picked up a stick I fell in love with the game. I started out playing lacrosse as an offender and was moved to a defensive position in 7th grade. I now play defense for my club team and offense for my school team. I am a very versatile player who has a wide view of the field at all times. As well as lacrosse I also play Field Hockey (center midfield) and I am on the varsity gymnastics team. My studies are very important to me, I am in honors English, advanced Chemistry, and AP World History. I also part take in many clubs, including:
Best Buddies: Club where we interact and play games with children who have special needs
Miracle Club: Club where we organize fundraisers for children with cancer
Key Club: Club that offers a wide variety of community service opportunities
SADD (Students Against Destructive Decisions): Club where we educate our peers on how to make good decisions in high pressure situations, Model UN

Alexandra is a well- rounded individual whose vitality, focus and commitment to excellence is apparent in everything she does. She embodies Garden City Athletic’s core values and exhibits all of the dispositions which are obvious in her every endeavor and which will serve her throughout her collegiate career. It is evident that Alexandra cares deeply about her peers and encourages a daily growth mindset on and off the field. She also inspired her teammates and coaches when she became a starter for the 2021 Fall Field Hockey season. This leadership role Alexandra earned displayed her confidence, positivity, composure and great game sense. In order to earn this title, Alexandra began her time on the field eager to take on responsibility, integrate into drills as an active participant, and build a rapport with peers. Throughout her field hockey experience, she paid careful attention to designing team building activities and beneficial drills to improve the team’s communication and Forward/ Midfield skills. Alexandra inspired her teammates to use accountable discussion skills to learn from one another in a highly cognitively engaged and collaborative environment. She communicated important daily reminders between the coach and players.

Alex brings a high level of intensity to the field at all times. She is very coachable and actively strives to make herself a better athlete and lacrosse player. We asked her to move from attack to defense, and she worked tirelessly to be the best defender possible. Alex is a physical, aggressive player with a nose for finding the ball. In a 1v1 GB, Alex will come out on top. She tracks the ball very well and finds open girls consistently. Alex can lock off a girl very well, but what has impressed me is her ability to slide to unmarked girls when she needs to. She communicates well on the defense to help others know where and when they should be sliding as well.
