I am currently an upcoming sophomore at Horseheads Highschool. I began playing lacrosse in the spring of 5th grade and have had a passion for the sport ever since. As my skills progressed, I started playing club lacrosse in 7th grade. Due to my hard work and self discipline I’ve procured, I became a freshman varsity starter and eventually went on to become a STAC sectional champion. I primarily play defense but I am versatile and coaches can play me anywhere on the field. As a defender I am comfortable playing on both the left and right sides of the eight meter, and play exceptionally well around the crease. Furthermore, I am able to pick up difficult slides, slow down fast breaks, and win ground balls. On top of playing lacrosse year-round, I also partake in school soccer and was a varsity starter freshman year, and I plan on also playing varsity indoor track this winter as well. As a multi-sport athlete I have exceptional time management skills and am able to balance sports and school while having success in both. Having focus on and off the field allows me to take my determination in sports and use it in a classroom setting. This year I received the Academic All-Star Award for varsity soccer as a result of that. Adding to which, I have also received high honor roll every semester since 5th grade along with being a part of the National Junior Honor Society and maintaining a 4.0 GPA.
