Aliyannah Makein
Recruit Profile
I am very coachable, very athletic and fast, am a great team player, am very disciplined, and a very determined and aggressive athlete.
I started playing lacrosse in 4th grade for the Wallingford Triton's youth lacrosse in Connecticut. I play midfield, attack and defense for my club team. I am comfortable in both my left and right hands. I was planning on playing midfield for my high school team, but we lost our season due to covid-19. I started playing for 3d LC CT River 22/23 / 3d NE South 22/23 in the summer of 2019 and play for the teams in the summer and fall. During the winter I play in a winter league with the Watertown High School lacrosse team where every Saturday night we play a game. I am very good at man-on-man contact defense and am very good with communication on the field. I am in mechanics in the agriculture science program at my high school. I was in competitive gymnastics from the ages of 18 months-11 years old which has helped me have great strength and athleticism on the field and has given me great self discipline. I also played volleyball for my middle school team from grades 6-8 and was a captain on the team in 8th grade.
I strive everyday to push myself in the classroom, on the field, and in the gym. I workout/run/lift weights 6 days a week and practice lacrosse 6 days a week on my own. In the classroom I push myself to do the best that I possibly can. I am taking multiple honors classes this school year.
