Ally Howard is entering her first season as the head women's lacrosse coach at Elmhurst University.

Howard brings over a decade of coaching experience with her to Elmhurst.

Howard is just the third head coach in the brief seven-year history of the Elmhurst women's lacrosse program.

Since 2019, Howard has been serving as the Assistant Women's Lacrosse Coach for the New Zealand Senior National Team. She served as the team's draw specialist coach while also helping to develop practice plans, stickwork routines and offensive strategy. She helped start the U15 Academy where she worked with players under the age of 15.

Howard has also spent the past four years at 3d Lacrosse LLC, serving as a Master Coach for the Connecticut River and San Diego Programs. She ran clinics and workshops for youth lacrosse organizations while also teaching local youth coaches.

Howard has no shortage of collegiate coaching experience as well. She served as the Head Coach and Assistant Sports Information Director at the University of Bridgeport from 2015-17. She also served as an assistant coach at Central Connecticut State and Worcester State University while also serving as an interim head coach at Post University. She spent four years at San Diego State University, serving as a varsity assistant women's lacrosse coach, the Head Coach of the Club Women's Lacrosse program and as a Student-Athlete Academic Coordinator. She started her coaching career as an assistant coach at Grand Valley State University in 2010.

Howard earned her bachelor's degree from Grand Valley State University. She received a Masters of Coaching and Athletic Administration from Concordia University (Calif.) and is currently pursuing a Masters of Education from Liberty University. Howard and her husband Shane, are parents to Adelaide, McKinley and Jameson.
