Coachable, team player with strong Lax IQ - disciplined, determined and aggressive multi-sport athlete.
I started playing lacrosse in 1st grade at the age of seven and have loved it ever since. I am the leading scorer at the midfield position on my 2024 club team. I am very comfortable with using both hands on the field and have confidence in myself on the defense of end. I always look to set my teammate us for success. I am on the Varsity Cross Country Team. I am taking Honors World Lit, Honors Chemistry, AP World History, and Honors Algebra 2, Honors Geometry, and AP Computer Science.
Coach Statement:
I have had the pleasure of coaching Alyse for three years as her club coach at Atlanta Storm Lacrosse. If I had to describe Alyse in three words, as it relates to lacrosse, I would use coachable, versatile, and committed.
I remember Alyse earning a spot on our 2024 Elite team at the end of her 5th grade year. From a very early age, Alyse absorbed every piece of information like a sponge. She was focused at practices and implemented every piece of feedback a coach gave her. After a drill was over, she could reiterate all the keys points and take-aways of the drill with no hesitation. Being this coachable is such a rare quality for such a young player and it quickly set her apart from her other teammates.
As Alyse grew older and our team dynamics changed I had to play her at many different positions. She excelled at every position and never complained about the role she was given to fill. Every season, Alyse led the team in goals and assists and she displayed great speed and stamina. Therefore, I preferred to play her in an attack or midfield position, but her defensive skills are just as strong.
Alyse's commitment to lacrosse has been steadfast since I've known her. She was always early and never late to any of her commitments and she always set and achieved high goals for herself outside of practice. Anytime Alyse was offered additional opportunities to practice and improve she never hesitated to sign up (clinics, playdays, extra tournaments, small groups, etc.). Because of her unwavering commitment she has never plateaued in or out of season.

Alyse Keels has proven herself to be an asset no matter where she is on the field and someone who should never be underestimated. Although she appears on the petite side, do not let that fool you. She is a very tough player with incredible speed who can hang under any situation she might find herself in. She does well under pressure and in high pace of play. She is highly self motivated and takes direction extremely well. She has proven to be a top player within both the Storm and Kell programs through her work ethnic and coachability. In my experiences working with Alyse, as her varsity coach at Kell high school, she has truly impressed me with just one season on varsity. She really is a player to watch as she will continue to grow and set the bar higher for herself. I truly look forward to watching her continue to be a presence on the field for the next 3 years and would highly recommend Alyse for any and all college prospects that would come her way.
