Amelia Blanchette
Recruit Profile
Coachable, team player with a high Lax IQ. Dedicated, determined, versatile, quick to adapt to/and recognize field situations and adjust.
I have a tremendous love and respect for the game of lacrosse and have aspirations of playing in College. Born in 2003 , I am a "lefty" who has been playing lacrosse since the the Spring of 2011, beginning at the age of 7. I have played midfielder and attack; I have quick footwork, quick dodges, precision power shooting, seamless and accurate passing and catching, and strong non-dominant skills which have made me an asset to each team I have played on.
I have played on both the JV and Varsity Lacrosse Teams in my Freshman year at Mill Creek High School in Hoschton, GA and received a Scholar Athlete Award as well as Silent Leader Award.
I have volunteered in community service projects with my High School Lacrosse team as well as volunteering in a local Special Education Pre-K classroom.
In 2017, I played in the National Prospect Invite as well as the National Lacrosse Classic for the Georgia Team. I will again be playing in the National Prospect Invite - Elite 80 and National Lacrosse Classic for the Georgia High School Team in July of 2018.
I am an honor roll student and member of the Graduating Class of 2021. I have found a balance in maintaining a high academic standing, my passion for lacrosse, my friendships and my family; all while being enrolled in the gifted and talented program and taking AP Human Geography.
