Anastasia Fowler
Recruit Profile
Strong, coachable player with aggressive scoring and distributing mentality. 3 sport athlete. Displays leadership as athlete, class officer.
Ever since I started playing lacrosse in 4th grade, I knew it would be something that changed my life. Ever since then, coaches always noticed my aggression, hard-work, and athleticism as a player, having the advantage of playing 3 sports. My IQ in soccer, basketball and lacrosse makes me a unique, assertive player. I'm comfortable dodging and shooting left and right hand. As an attacker, I pride myself on my rides all the way to the restraining line; my coaches say what distinguishes me is my ability to drive the offense, field vision, hustle on ground balls, and dexterity with various shots and feeds. I have led with assists and goals for my club team as an attacker every season and have done so for my high school team as well. I also play soccer and basketball, and was a captain of the JV basketball team my sophomore year. I took US History Honors, Chemistry Honors, English 2 Honors and Algebra 2 Advanced. This year I am taking AP Bio, AP US History, English 3 Honors, Latin 3 Honors and Pre-Calculus Advanced. I have a weighted GPA of 4.1, and I am a member of the National Honors Society. I am one of five Student Government Officers in my school, and I was Class President my freshman year. I participate in the elite choir at my high school which requires a 2 periods a day commitment. I also participate in the audition a cappella group, Blue Devil Treble, where I am known as "the girl who beatboxes." I have been on the Distinguished Honor Roll all throughout my middle school and high school careers so far. I was the Corresponding Secretary of the Student Body last year and will be the Recording Secretary this year. I volunteer at our town’s Fun Club where I play and sing with Syrian refugee children, as well as help them out with homework, and I will be participating in my parish’s Service Trip to Roanoke, VA this summer. I started my own club, the Lunch Ambassadors Club, a student-lead initiative of students who sit next to others sitting alone. I am also my school's Be Strong program founder and representative, bringing the program's "be kind and inclusive...be strong" initiative to our high school community of 1800 students. No matter what I am doing, I give 100%.
