Andrew Beans
Recruit Profile
Very coachable, team player with strong LAX IQ, strong work ethic, disciplined and determined, 3 sport athlete, (LAX, wrestling, golf,) driven to improve my game
I am an extremely hard working student who also happens to have a passion for lacrosse. Going into the fall 2021 as a junior high school lacrosse player, I will be the lead varsity goalie for Wissahickon High School who came off their first season making it to the Pennsylvania playoffs.
I have been in the goalie position since sixth grade and for his local team Wisslax. Playing varsity in eighth grade, I helped lead his team as goalie to their first undefeated season. In my high school career at Wissahickon, I made varsity goalie as a freshman and although COVID-19 ended the season all too soon, I continued to train and come back sophomore year and to make varsity again as back-up goalie. I has also been goalie for two travel teams, Black Bear and Rising Sons that participate in top tournaments in the Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania areas.
I am dedicated to my fellow teammates and to the sport of lacrosse, always willing to help where I can, show up and contribute. I have volunteered as a mentor to help other young players learn the game. A contribution that helps me learn from the kids - a leadership and mentorship skillset and in return helps make the kids future program better. In the offseason, I am heavily active in weight training, wrestling, and golf.
I am confidence on the field and will step up as a leader, providing advice and guidance to fellow teammates. I do not let a frustrating moment get into my head. I shake it off and get back in the game, because I he know I have trained hard and can pull together what is needed to get the job done!
