I started playing lacrosse when I was 9 years old. I played lacrosse with my town team and made some of my closest friends. I continued to play lacrosse through middle school were I was the captain of the team. As a freshman I was named captain of the Ward Melville JV lacrosse team. As a sophomore I am starting on varsity. I play defense on both my club and school team, I sometimes run midfield as well. As a player I am very communicative and strive to be a leader on and off the field. I am a very strong 1v1 defender, and am able to quickly adapt in the game. I also play varsity soccer, and run winter track for my high school. As a student, I am very academically focused. I am an Advanced Placement and all Honors level student with an overall 4.0 GPA. Some of my extracurricular activities include Girl Scouts, Key Club, Spanish Honor Society, and various community service activities. I also had the amazing opportunity to be apart of and graduate from New York's prestigious FBI Teen Academy. In addition I volunteer to help students in my community who have special needs gain exposure to sports, and get active. I am also a Gold Award Candidate and plan to complete my service project by helping the America's Vet Dogs and Guide Dog Foundation, who train service dogs for veterans and first responders.
