Anna Gotterup
Recruit Profile
Coachable, very fast, strong leader with a strong lax IQ, skilled feeder, multi-sport athlete, and disciplined.
I started playing lacrosse when I was six years old. I played in a recreational league through seventh grade and then I transitioned over to T3. My speed is a noticeable aspect in my game. For as long as I can remember, it made me stand out from my teammates both on the lacrosse and soccer fields. I come from a very athletic family. My oldest brother is a golf student-athlete at Rutgers, my dad played tennis at Saint Mary's College, my aunt played field hockey at Maryland and my grandfather swam at Columbia. Freshman year of high school, I made JV soccer and started on varsity lacrosse for every game. I also started and played in the Shore Conference Championship game. I've become a key player for the Caseys and pride myself on my feeding abilities. I have been able to stand out with my skill to feed cutters and my power shot. Redefending has quickly become one of my strengths as my speed allows me to catch up to and force a turnover on transition. For T3, I have become a "quarterback" for our offense and a leader on defense. I've developed into a strong draw-circle player and my lax IQ helps me lead the team. As per sophomore year, I play varsity soccer as a center defender. Our soccer team just won the Shore Conference Championship. In school, I take Honors World I, Honors English, Honors PreCalc, AP Environmental, and Spanish III. I am the president and creator of a club at my school titled "Working Animal Careers". The club educates students on the different careers that involve working animals, such as K9 handlers or service dogs. I actively participate in volunteering opportunities outside of school, including volunteering with my service therapy dog. I ended my sophomore year with a 4.00 GPA.
