Anna Szporn
Recruit Profile
Althetic, fast and aggressive two way midfielder with high lacrosse IQ and stick skills. Extremely coachable team player, with dedicated mindset to improve every day.
Competing athletically is one of my greatest passions, as I love challenging myself every day and spending time with my teammates. I have been a high level multi-sport athlete since the 2nd grade, with a love for Lacrosse and Soccer. I have competed at the highest levels of club soccer, making it to the US Development Academy, and receiving multiple selections to compete at US National team events. Lacrosse, however is my greatest passion and I fell in love with it at the early age of 7 playing in the Morristown recreation clinics. Since then I have focused on becoming the best lacrosse player and teammate I can be. When I am not in school or a team practice you will find me in my back yard banging the ball over and over against a rebounder or making my brother feed me passes to work on my shooting.
I am currently a sophomore at Morristown High School where academically I have made High Honor Roll every semester. Athletically I am a two year starter for both our state champion Varsity Lacrosse team and the Varsity Soccer team. At the club level I have been selected to represent New Jersey for the American Select Showcase in both 2021 and 2022. As a player I would describe myself as very athletic and tenacious. I consistently lead my BBL team in scoring and draw controls but what I take some of the most pride in is leading in forced turn overs and groundballs. I love every aspect of the game and pride myself on working hard at both ends of the field.
Outside of lacrosse I love spending time with my family and friends and have a passion for cooking and baking. I love volunteering and spend every Sunday volunteering to coach 6-8 year old girls lacrosse at the same rec clinics where I started.
