I started playing lacrosse when I was 10 after begging my parents to buy me a stick at one of my older brother's tournaments. At my first practice, I suffered a concussion and didn't take the field again until my first game later that season. Having only learned how to throw moments before the game, I was nervous but managed to score 2 goals and immediately fell in love with the sport. I began playing club in 6th grade for T3 Elite as a defender. However, during my freshman year, I was forced to take a break from club lacrosse. Since covid also struck that year, I didn't have a school season, so I spent a lot of time alone in my yard on the rebounder, taking shots, doing footwork, and running sprints. Being separated from a team I learned a strong work ethic which allowed me to come back as a stronger player. During my sophomore year, I tried out for BBL at my friend's request and made it onto the team as a defender. Unsatisfied with the position and my amount of playing time, I worked every chance I had over the winter (including during snowstorms), to become a better player. This work allowed me to make varsity that spring and become a trusted and reliable midfielder over the summer. I now play for STEPS and am continuing to improve my skills. I am a fast midfielder with strong defensive footwork and positioning and a selfless attacker with strong and well-timed cuts. I try to be the biggest hypeman on the team on and off the field. I am consistently trusted by the coaches and am a hardworking and positive person to be around.
