Anthony Accardi joined the Allegheny coaching staff in July 2018.

Accardi arrived at Allegheny after serving as assistant coach at Washington & Jefferson College for the 2017 and ‘18 seasons. At W&J, he served as co-defensive coordinator, goalie coach, and faceoff coach, while also assisting heavily with recruiting, as well as managing the team’s social media accounts.

During Accardi’s tenure at W&J, the Presidents went a combined 10-7 in the Ohio River Lacrosse Conference, qualifying for the league’s playoffs in 2017. A number of his players also earned a variety of accolades, including 2017 ORLC Newcomer of the Year Ben Ward, and 2017 ORLC Offensive Player of the Year Kyle Heinig. Over Accardi’s two seasons, a total of 13 Presidents earned All-ORLC honors.

Prior to his time at W&J, Accardi worked as the assistant men's lacrosse coach at Dominican College (N.Y.) from Sept. 2015-Aug. 2016. While there, Accardi assisted with official and unofficial visits as well as recruiting and scouting potential student-athletes. Accardi was also responsible for inventory of equipment, uniforms and game day supplies.

Accardi also worked as a camp counselor at X10 Lacrosse in Warrensburg, N.Y. while working at Dominican College. His main responsibilities at X10 Lacrosse included executing drills to enhance the skills of the campers as well as being responsible for the supervision of the campers.

From May 2016-Nov. 2016, Accardi worked at Team 91 Tristate Lacrosse in Purchase, N.Y., as the Assistant Boy's Lacrosse Coach. Accardi was in charge of executing individual practice regimens based on the strengths and weaknesses of the team while he was also responsible for assisting and running operations at the Westchester War Games.

Accardi also served as a Youth Development Professional at the Boys and Girls Club in Gardnerville, Nev. During his time there, Accardi coordinated sports, art, games and social activities for children while also providing a safe playing and learning environment.

A 2015 graduate of Mercy College (N.Y.) with a degree in Criminal Justice, Accardi was a member of the men's lacrosse team for all four years as a midfielder and was also named a team captain.

While at Mercy College, Accardi served as the treasurer for the Mercy College Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) during his junior and senior years where he was responsible for scheduling and planning all activities and meetings for the SAAC, organizing community outreach events and distributing finances amongst SAAC activities.
