The Westminster Department of Athletics announced the hiring of Anthony Accardi as the new head men's lacrosse coach on August 5, 2022.

Accardi was recently as assistant coach at Allegheny for the past four seasons. He served as the defensive coordinator in addition to coaching face-off, goalie, and the substitution box. At Allegheny, Accardi served a pivotal role as recruiter, including 26 student-athletes in the program's inaugural season. He was responsible for operating and growing the team's social media accounts. He developed and executed daily practice programs, including skills development and all aspects of training and game preparation. Accardi coached the program's first-ever All-North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) East Team honorees.

Prior to Allegheny, Accardi served as an assistant coach at Washington & Jefferson for two seasons where he was the co-defensive coordinator, goalie coach, and faceoff coach, while also assisting heavily with recruiting, as well as managing the team's social media.

Additionally, Accardi worked as the assistant men's lacrosse coach at Dominican College (N.Y.) and a club coach for various travel teams.

A 2015 graduate of Mercy College (N.Y.) with a degree in Criminal Justice, Accardi was a member of the men's lacrosse team for all four years as a midfielder and was also named a team captain. Accardi was a member of the Criminal Justice National Honor Society, made the Dean's List, earned the Division II Athletic Directors Association Academic Achievement Award, earned the Mercy College Men's Lacrosse Maverick Award, and graduated Cum Laude. Accardi went on to earn a Master's in Sports Management from SUNY-Cortland.
