Anthony Schultz
Recruit Profile
Multi-sport athlete, high lacrosse IQ and great field vision, coachable, tenacious, leader on and off the field and aggressive on both sides of the ball. Solid inside finisher.
When I was 8 years old I first found my interest in lacrosse. I have always played for my local township team from third to eighth grade. I began playing club lacrosse when I was in fourth grade, as I played for Dukes Lacrosse Club.
From sixth to eighth grade, I played three seasons with Big 4 HHH Lacrosse Club. This opened the door for me to personally train and practice with the former coach of my team Ryan Danehy. This also gave me the opportunity to compete at a higher level with more advanced competition. During these middle school years, I also played competitive basketball and volleyball for my school teams in seventh and eighth grade.
As I transitioned into my freshman year at Parkland High School, I practiced with the basketball and lacrosse teams in the fall. During the winter, I earned a spot on the freshman basketball team as the sixth man. After that season, I went back to practicing with the lacrosse team. In our inter-squad game, I was named the MVP.
I am strong willed on offense and defense. I am comfortable using both hands and switching between midfield and attack to exercise all aspects of the game. I am confident in shooting from the wings, and dodging and finishing inside.
With my high school lacrosse and basketball teams, I volunteered by helping out with the 5k run for breast cancer, and a trick or treat event for challenged individuals. I pride myself in being a multi-sport athlete, and achieving high academic excellence, including Principals List.
