Arden Watson
Recruit Profile
My size, strength, versatility and game vision stands out. I've played lacrosse most of my life and don't plan on stopping because I have more to contribute to the sport.
I moved from Cleveland, Ohio to Savannah, Georgia going into my freshman year of high school. I attend Savannah Country Day School, the most academically rigorous school in the city. Standing at 6'0", 190 lbs, I am a '23 who started playing lacrosse in the 3rd grade and have maintained the leading scorer on almost every team I've played. My skills have developed over the years by playing on various teams whose coaches and teammates continue to teach me, and against competition that challenge and test me. In the summer of 2021 I played up on the '22 Sweetlax Loggerheads and tied as leading scorer. I also played on the '23 Southern Stars national team against some of the most competitive teams in the country. I was an Apex Attack Showcase and Future Phenoms, attendee. I played, basketball and football in my freshman and sophomore years which helped with my strength and speed. I was starting varsity and leading scorer in goals and assists both freshman and sophomore years. In my sophomore season these points led my team to placement in the first round of the State playoffs. I was selected as 1st Team All-Area; Coastal Empire HS Sports Award Honoree; SCDS Offensive MVP, and; Savannah Metro FCA Lax All-Star.
Lacrosse aside, I consider myself a people person and am relatable and easy to talk to and believe that is my best quality as a person, friend, and teammate.

Kevin Mayer
Big time HS player. Great size, big time motor, incredible hands, quick release and a cannon for a shot. Can break double teams and score in tight and is very lethal 8-15 yards. Works hard at his craft and his very coachable. Has big time potential to be an impact player at the highest levels of NCAA lacrosse.

Griffin Shay
Arden is a great kid who plays hard both with and without the ball. Along with his size and strength, which is evident in games from the jump, he has good vision and field awareness. His effort on rides stands out against other attackmen his age, and he's an excellent teammate.

Arden Watson is a one of kind young man, who is a privilege to coach. Arden has been vital to our program from day one, he brings intangibles you cant teach, work ethic that remains unrivaled, and a personality that uplifts others on and off the field. Arden possesses an elite first step such so that he pressures opposing defenses to play his game. If left in a one on one situation he calmly scans the field, move the ball to open teammates, or imparts his will and takes advantage. Arden has an elite level right hand and a great left, he can worm his way through the teeth of the defense with speed and take heavy contact with his size to open up and finish shots from close or from angles that players at this level would not dream of trying. Arden's most impressive characteristic in my eyes has to be that he never gives up. He plays 4 quarters at a 100% no matter the score. He will chase down on a ride, he will move to middy when needed, and bring his teammates up a gear. Im thankful to coach Arden.

Rick Barron
Arden was central to our success as a lacrosse team this past season. He demands the attention of opposing defenses, knows how to score under pressure, and has a natural leadership ability that comes through because of his comfort with the game. Arden does not rest on his laurels, and works tirelessly at his craft. He also helps elevate his teammates by coaching them up on the nuances of the game.

Tom Harris
Arden is a great kid and player with a high ceiling. He first stood out to me during the first 10 min of a tryout. He was the loudest and going the hardest, completing every rep. Arden's strengths include size, quickness, vision and his ability to read and dodge a slide. Looking forward to working with him more.

Ira Vanterpool
Arden Watson is a fantastic young man, and I am fortunate to have the opportunity to know him. He is an excellent student-athlete that has great potential to play at the next level. Arden is a versatile offensive player with a significant first step, size, and strength to maneuver from point A to B. He is also a great teammate and a blast to be around..
