Ava is the head captain of her team. She was a varsity starter as a freshman. She is the smartest attacker on the team with a very high lacrosse IQ. She is very adept at seeing the entire field. On attack, she leads the team in assists and is second in goals. On defense she plays well in both man and zone defenses. Has great speed, excellent endurance and is a very tough player. Ava is not afraid of anyone or any situation. In 2020 we were playing a state-contending team in the regional tournament. Our team was having trouble scoring against them and Ava was able to take 5 defenders to goal, two separate times, to get her team on the board. Ava is a VERY strong attacker with excellent power. She has proven herself unstoppable around the crease. Her proficiency with her right and left hand, ability to dodge defenders and find an open teammate, and her tenacious re-defending make her a force on the field. She is also an excellent leader, strong and respected captain, and overall star on the field. She is coachable and in 14 years, she has been the most influential player I've coached.
